Poem Commentary

This is dedicated to what once was a close friend. Found a girl. And left me in the dust. We used to not be able to spend more than a day apart, and know he hasn't talked to me in months.

We. Us. Our.

We used to be close,
We could share the love
And our experiences
Of what lies above.

No need for explanations,
We understand one another.
We adventure into explorations
As we strive off each other.

But that has long expired.
Our friendship's nothing
Compared to the one you call yours.

You no longer need me
Or our late night phone calls.
But how can this be
When I desperately need you?

I like this a lot. a lot of people could relate to it

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
