Olan01 commented on we must Be Peace

So be it. I sign off sometimes with love, peace and freedom and that comes deep from my conscious and unconscious mind, for to love is to know peace and both come from freedom of conscious and unconscious thoughts. The world has all types of control mechanisms which are subtle, indoctrinating and teaches us war. If people would follow the only rule given; to treat each other as we would like to be treated, a rule handed down from the beginning of time; we would have no need for governments, religion, armies, guns or any type of control. As you can see this has sparked a deep core in me and look forward toward more of your poems; love, peace and freedom, Olan.

what a thoughtful comment, Olan01! i appreciate that you appreciate this! and more than "treat each other as we would like to be treated" ... i would suggest that most of us have to learn that we are deserving of peace ;) to ourselves as much as to others ... much love and thx for the read and the note! -dh

For one to dispense peace, it must already reside in the giver: wishing and hoping for it will never be enough, if it is not at it's station, firmly rooted in the soil of love. A desireable prayer supplied

In this work we find that the lesson we are to learn is to be peace, the work says this 5 times in a poem with 11 lines. The repetition is a very effective tool to have ones readers to remember the lesson. The primary message is one we would do well to remember. Martin Luther King said, "It is not enough to say we will not wage war; we must love peace more". I agree with you both.
