    Warrior's Heart

The intense love carried deep within a warrior's heart.

    Across the lifetimes,
    My heart has called,
    My spirit reaching out,
    To my loved one,
    To whom I belong,
    Through heat of battle,
    You have always calmed,
    The raging fires within,
    With your love song,
    This burning desire,
    It is so strong,
    My heart is pounding,
    I think of you,
    As I run along,
    I call your name,
    You feel my pain,
    Like rolling thunder,
    Your image remains,
    The war drums beckon,
    They call my name,
    Like my brothers before me,
    I will stand alone,
    And once I have fallen,
    The wings of the eagles,
    Will carry me home,

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
