Wanting More

Arms outstretched
Hands held high
I wait
Reaching for what can't be touched
Is this really what i want?
Or am i too far gone?
I'm still going day by day
Slowly trying to change my ways
Are you waiting for me on the other side?
I never really wanted to be alone
So why'd you leave me?
Should i happen to get angry you always calmed me down
And if i was sad you were the only one who could make me smile
Needing to be held
Wanting your touch
Kinda sad since you moved on
But I'm happy
Because you're happy

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
