My New Found Ways...

A new me
Not that its good
Doing what's not thought of
Unheard of
Surreal
Listening to the wind blow
As I'm as high as the clouds
Drunk as the ocean
Beamed up to Mars
Watching the sun set
With no real thoughts
A different person every night
So who am i today?
Guess I'm me
But who would that be?
Shy but outgoing
Sweet with so much fire
Aggressively nonchalant
Not sure how its possible
But there's more than one me
One that's nice with no reason
The kindest heart there is
The other has so much anger
Hate
And malice
So mischievous
Don't ever turn your back
Can't control my actions
She can be so cruel
No heart to share with the world
But i'm sure she's crying
Wanting nothing more than understanding
She needs love
Not willing to except pity
But then again who would?
The old me has died
And the new me...
... Who knows

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
