    Walking Through Memory Lane

    I’m walking through memory lane
    Remembering my long lost pain
    Not knowing what to believe
My past is so dark I cannot see
    Looking at an empty hourglass
Reflecting the things in my past
Seeing the demons I have faced
    And not knowing my place
    Fixing the shattered pieces together
Hoping I will be remembered forever
    Learning from my past mistakes
I know how much I can take
Now I recouping from my past
Not being the one to finish last
I will be the one to come on top
And I will not be stopped
I will share my thoughts and feelings
Because we’re all just human beings
I will accomplish all of my goals
And be the once everyone knows
    Sharing my experiences and pain
For I am walking through memory lane

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
