VERONICA

VERONICA

The sound of her name
is like a evening breeze
both chilly and warm
It draws in me in

Images float
in the ocean of my mind
I drift toward her
leaving all else

She haunts my dreams
by night
and my every thought
by day

Wanting to be near her
I feel the pull
She puts a flame
in my heart

I am lost
in a sea of thought
waiting for her
to arrive

I catch my breath
as she departs the train
Hello, she waves
with a smile

I can breathe again
as we unite
my sweet Veronica
and I
