Untitled

Lies, they fester deep within the soul,
turning it into a black hollow shell.
Lies, eat and leave to rot the marrow of
emptiness.
Darken you thought your lies cover my eyes
but it was a trick my eyes saw fine.
Lies destroyed as faith could not
protect. A soul torn apart.
A heart cannot survive with out faith and
faith has been taken by lies, leaving the
heart to die.

Melancholy and regret are sensations we all have to deal with at one time or another. I think it's important, though, that we not dwell on them; be defeated by them. The upside of disappointment is that it doesn't last forever - unless we let it. five cents please.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
