Unsettled

Unsettled

Unsettled I may be,
but someday I will find
life does not end,
but begins to thrive.
Out of the pain
a sense of new flourishes,
my soul comes alive.
Live and love
the time has past.
A new chapter has begun
a door closes to what is left behind.
So is it out there?
my quest shall be defined.
I fear not for myself,
for I will be fine.
I spread my wings and begin a new
My heart will soar with hope,
as my soul is revived.

Allie, this is my favorite poem of yours, so far. It's almost as if the words are weightless; like their ready to just float away on the power of their own confidence. (Applause) -Chaos-

I really like this poem. I think we sometimes dwell on the past (I know I do) instead of living in the moment and embracing a new day. Nice work

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
