    Untitled

Indulging in a temptation too strong to ignore,
Left feeling empty and treated like a whore.
    Longing for something so degrading,
    Waiting, debating, yet anticipating.
    Wishing to justify my actions,
    Hoping to stay away,
Struggling to keep my feelings at bay.
Knowing one day, I can be strong.
    Because I realize, for me,
    You, is all wrong.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
