    Two Loves

    two loves exist,

    from which to choose,

    with one you win,

    the other lose,

one is Rich & Grand & Hot,

the other Safe & Sane & Not,

    so which to choose?

    i answer one,

    for Safe is for those

    with rest in mind,

    and Sane? Oh my -

    you jest - so kind,

    and Not, Not you say,

    Not Hot?

    for me

    i'll take the burning kind,

    for Rich is the life

    touched by passion's flame,

    and Grand the memories

    lit by same,

    and as for Hot,

    i tell you now,

    those not scorched by

    loves sweet pain,

    find little solace,

    in summer rain!

chosen confess for the chooser ...haa...nice one..

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
