    Two for Tea

Simple and quiet as early morning air
Pure and white as the veil of fair
Beyond the horizon and beyond the rain
My child of youth you will remain
"Two for Tea just you and me
Katie, Katie my pretty little lady
Eyes of blue, guess who loves you? I do!"
Sung to you in the course of our day
Building your dreams as we play
Bows and ribbons and dresses of color
Dolls and make believe to now a scholar
You have grown up right in front of me
Memories of the past and visions of tomorrow
Dreams of now and songs from the sparrow
Gone now and so far away but in
    Heart you will always stay
Two for Tea just you and me
