    Tired

Tired of the same old thing
    wanting something new
waiting for the alarm to ring
wishing I had nothing to do

Tired of lifes ups and downs
    pleasing others is just that
I am the one with frowns
    Feeling like a door mat

    Tired of faking a smile
    lying to myself inside
    Stretching it to the mile
    Not such a fun ride

One day I hope to leave
    this world and find
A place where I may cleave
And meet my soul in kind

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
