    Time To Let Go

As I walked along the open road, I noticed bits & pieces of broken glass
I looked at each piece closely & I saw reflections of my past
How could something so small show something so big
Of all the tears and the pain that I hid
It was almost as if I would never forget about the hurt
So I tried to cover up the pieces of my past with dirt
And at that very moment, it reminded me of all the reasons
Why I buried my shattered pieces
