    Time is Lost

I can't hear the rain anymore.
    I think it went away.

I can't feel the pain anymore.
I think that went away too...

    Or maybe not.
Maybe I'm just used to it.

I try to let go of my past.
But it gets harder, as each day goes by.

    Regret? No.

But as the wind blows my hair towards bad memories...
    I cut it off.
    Just so I can't remember.

    But apparently, their memories and
    they can't go away unless......
    your brain dead.

    (Hmmmmm) That's an idea.

I have written about suicide as a way to end the haunting dreams and pain. I came to realize suicide does not end the pain, it only creates pain for others. Death is not the finish line but only the beginning of a new race. Our soul is what defines us. 10 from me on another excellent write.

True. Pain is a strong feeling. Depending on the person of course. Pain is natural. But when you've had so much of it, you start to crave it. It's weird.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
