This is How it Ends
Laughing, smiling, telling secrets, and always together.
I called you my best friend, my sister.
That’s how it was.
But now…I don’t even know where you are.
I want this back more than you can imagine.
How can accept that you are gone…forever?
How did this happen, how can this be true?
A thousand pains I’ve felt, a million tears I’ve wept.
All because of you.
Who are they? Were they there when you needed advice, or when you cried?
Give me one time when they were there.
I can name a thousand times when I sat with you, talking things through.
Can we go back in time maybe a year or so?
All I want is one more minute, to prepare for a lifetime without you!
But wait if I could would I? Is it worth it?
Wouldn’t I lose all the things I hold close?
The ones I used to fill in that hole you so blindly put right through me?
Is that what I really want?
I lost you, but I found so much in exchange.
This isn’t the end it’s a new beginning.
