    The Veil.

    Invisible defects hidden from you.
Allow you to break me down the way you do.
You let me fly but, you won't let me soar.
    Flightless bird of dreams unrealized.

Eyes wide open but,you can't see a thing.
You read no hidden meaning in anything.

Vanity serves the vain a veil.
It hides the beauty contained in others.
Oceans of self doubt exist in you.

Complimenting another is something you can't afford.
My dreams are not up for debate anymore.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
