    In Lieu

In lieu of the Great Garden, this one will pass.
In lieu of sorrow let peace be cast.

Peace exploding from inside to out.
Like the chambers of the Beehive,
    Engorging then blowing it's spout.

One must seek peace even in this Olympic beauty...
    To block out modern clamor,
To stifle the noise of motherly duties.

The wonder of nature draws an invisible curtain,
It helps us forget worldly things which remain uncertain.
