    The Sun, Moon and Stars

Above our bed hang the Sun, Moon and Stars.

The Sun and Moon hug close together, the Blue moon tightly wrapped around the Yellow Sun; embracing it, loving it, becoming one with it, while the Stars surround them both.

As the Moon and Sun make love passionately, the white-hot stars pierce the black night sky; energetic bursts of light, out of control, fierce, potent.

After the explosion comes the warmth, as intense as the white-hot spikes of energy, but different, more mellow than moments ago. Outwardly subdued, though inwardly much more powerful. The Sun and the Moon still huddled close together, tightly, even more so than before. Laying still, the motion subsided. Silent, except for the sounds of two lover’s heartbeats and their breathing, alone together in the universe of each other’s arms.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
