The Single Mom
The hardest job today is the one people say without pay; the single mom.
The most rewarding job today is the one that everyone is afraid to say; the single mom.
I didn't choose this life,but I wouldn't change it in any way.
The kids are crying, the bills are all over due,
I'm feeling sad and lonely and blue.
As I look into their eyes I remember what this is all for.
Their smiles are my pay, they are worth more than any words could say. Without them there would be no other way,no happiness only sorrow everyday.
