The Rain
Wet, cold, chilly
somewhat refreshing
and a bit scary
Loaded raindrops cool my dry scalp
while little puddles of drizzle
soak my expensive shirt
The sky turns a dark grey
and the wind becomes thick
the sound of falling water
becomes the clatter of the moment
Silence and sadness
fills the atmosphere
as the casket is set
to rest
Why does it always rain
when someone close to you
departs this life?
somewhat refreshing
and a bit scary
Loaded raindrops cool my dry scalp
while little puddles of drizzle
soak my expensive shirt
The sky turns a dark grey
and the wind becomes thick
the sound of falling water
becomes the clatter of the moment
Silence and sadness
fills the atmosphere
as the casket is set
to rest
Why does it always rain
when someone close to you
departs this life?
