    Despair

Tension building deep inside my soul like boiling lava
My inner spirit pleading for some kind of relief
Unclear thoughts filled with pain consume my intellect

Hatred for this, hatred for that
The sea of love has forsaken me
If there is a heaven—where are the angels?

    Life is so unfair
The rich get richer and the poor disgraced
    Is religion the answer?

A drink or a smoke just a temporary fix
When you awake the misery is still at hand
    Depression becomes your companion

    awesome,, felt this one....

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
