    the pack

shrouded in shadow and cloaked in mist
the rhythmic sound of steady breath
    the pack arise to hunt,survive
in unison they run as one
    attack formation seen by none
silent paws dance through the forest night
to feed the hunger that lies inside
    lurking behind their predators eyes
lies a magic both noble and free
    together they live,divided they die
the law lived by the pack
with glittering eyes the wolves are back

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
