Poem Commentary

In life, we all have exspectations in what a Man should or shouldn't be. We grow-up and see our Fathers or Grandfathers doing all they can and those tend to be our roll-models. So, inturn this Poem was written in how I see myself. This is no ones exspectations! Simply put, I understand what I can do and what all I can Not. I am fine with those limitations.

The Man in me.

I am a Man,
Thats all I am.
I do what I can,
and understand what I Cain't..

It's never easy in this you see!
Men have weakness,
And we all have strength's.
Sum are outwardly,
but many are deep in belief.

I can play sports,
I can chop wood and make forts.
I can Flirt!
Sing off key in church, oh Lord.

I am only a man.
I have callaced hands.
I work the land.
It's all I am!
Just a simple but human imperfect man...

You are a man with a lot of talent in your hands. Through verse we were able to capture the vision. The idea of man in your estimation

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
