The love we share is like no other,
Together our hearts are bound,
The feeling I get when you are near,
Only my pulse will sound.
The smile on your face, glowing,
The twinkle in your eye,
Makes all troubles disappear,
Given wings, I could fly.
When your spirit is heavy with gloom,
Inside my heart, I hurt deep.
I force a smile, try to lighten the air,
For your smile, through hoops I’d leap.
Our family, expanded so, is trying,
A lot for one to bear.
Our love, together, can conquer all,
Like a shield against the glare.
As time will pass, burden will lessen,
A long awaited relief,
The glow of laughter, more frequent,
Slowly ending disbelief.
Through life’s adventures come tests
Of our love and courage,
For thirteen years, we’ve studied,
More worth than any college.
Our children, my life and breath,
You, my heart and soul,
Together, nothing’s impossible,
Rising above all life’s tolls.
Some may doubt us, mock us,
Or complain, life’s not fair,
But we can face all life’s trials,
Because of the love we share.
