THE INTERVIEW
Sitting at my desk, Bored, Waiting for the phone to ring,I guess what you wish for can happen,
The caller was straight to the point,
Meet me in half and hour for a story of a lifetime,
I accepted and went out the door,
Sitting in the outdoor cafe I waited,
Soon I was joined by a very well dressed gentleman,
We each sized up one another,
He was fashionable and finely manicured,
Carried a walking stick, Silver serpent with fire opal eyes,
He seemed ageless even though his hair was silver,
He smiled then, A devilish grin to say the least,
Unknown and untold secrets he held,
So I began, Is it true you want every ones soul?
Right to the point I see, Well truth be told,
No, There is no shortage, In fact I have more than,
I know what to do with. Everyday it seems,
The way your world is, Wars, Crime, It always seems to be
on the rise, I have no need to recruit,
They all come willingly to me sooner or later,
I just seem to be the dumping ground for your trash,
But I guess if I may say so, Every one has to have a job,
So what kind of people are we talking about?
Well we have Serial Killers,CEO's,Dictators,Terrorist and people in high places to name a few,
They do what they want, to who ever they want to,
I sit back and watch and wait, They all end up here,
So no influence on your part?
In this day and age, No, Some of them put me to shame,
They use technology, They watch TV and movies,
The human race unknown to themselves is there own best teachers, I watch your movies, I see what the mind is made up of,
Frankly it scares the hell out of me, And that's saying a lot,
I was told long ago that the big guy has a sense of humor,
Not until I fell to earth did I fully realize what he meant,
Look around at yourselves, Civilization, Come on,
That's the biggest cosmic joke of all, Can't we all get along,
I could go on but my time is limited, Last question please,
What is Hell like?
I would have to show you, It's really so hard to describe,
And the vision would most likely be more disturbing to you,
Then you could handle, Let me just say, You don't want to ever end up there,
I thanked him for his time, Deep down wondering who would ever believe me,
As he got up to leave,He told me,
Until we learn to use what we have and be responsible for it, Think about what the outcome will be, At that point my job will be over.
Until then...............................
