    The Dance

    Fireflies dancing

    in the night

    Fairies working magic’s to their

    soft gentle light,

    the hypnotic purr of the

    mere cat soothes

    your heart and mine her

    melody woos.

    A mother cradles her

    infant so dear

    Singing a lullaby only

    he can hear.

A tune so full of her

    immeasurable love

    It soars through the air

on the wings of a dove.

    A father’s pride, so fierce

    and bold

    So priceless it can’t even

    be weighted in gold.

    As the fireflies dance

    forever fancy-free

    These worldly treasures

    they bestow upon you

    and me.
