    The Dad and Me

I sit here and wonder what the day will be like when you are here. Now is my chance to simmer down on drinking my beer. To look into your eyes and see a piece of myself staring back at me, I wonder what you'll think and see. A loving father who awaits to hold me?
This is my chance to prove what a Dad I can be, to sit and hold the seed I bear, What a surprise to me.
There will be good times that come with the bad but all I have to do is look in your eyes and see a child full of potential to remind me, of what a special Dad I will be.

I wish all fathers had ur sense of love

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
