The Broken Relationship
I have given you my heartI have poured out my soul and done my part
When you say jump I say how high
I gave you my body to use until it has turned black and blue like a stormy sky
Whatever you ask of me you know with a yes I will always reply
You have picked my brain and used my resources knowing that on me you can rely
You have used me and abused me like I was a prostitute and paid me with your money
Even a good pimp knows that he can get more out of his girls if he treats them as sweet as honey
But you never are concerned about if I like it or not all you think about is making a profit
When will you ever care if any of this can be to our mutual pleasure and benefit
You use to care about my opinion and value what I had to say
Now you act like you could care less if you and I have a relationship at the end of the day
Your not in this for a full time commitment any more that is a thing of the past
I have invested my self into this relationship with the hopes that it would give me a future and last
Now what your looking for is a part-time commitment with no strings attached
What I want is a little appreciation from you with some insurance and my efforts being matched
The big question here is who are you and who am I ?
I’m convinced that in regard to all of this you will most surely be the one to deny
You are the employer that I get up and go to work for every day
I am the American worker who is slowly being consumed by a world full of greed with less pay
You tell me that it is all about my willingness to be changed
But there is only so much a person can tolerate being rearranged
Put yourself in my place and make all of these changes is that a goal that is within your reach?
But here is something you can’t take away from me my spirit and the freedom of speech
Wake up world lets make changes that can benefit the worker and the employer
With the relationship we have now everyone is needing the services of a lawyer
Romans 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
