Thankful for Rock Bottom
For a moment there I lay
Despondent over what may
Tears filled my eyes
Crying over a great fall
No Car, No House or Job
I lost it all
A friend whispered to me
Look at where you lay
There's nothing down beneath you
Get up, be on your way
In life I had a test
and almost lost my life
But as I think and look on back
I began to gain insight
You may hit rock bottom
But there's not where you'll stay
Thank God for the experience
Get up and be on your way
Weeping may endure for a night
But joy comes with the morning light
Rock bottom was just an experience in life
Now when you're on top you'll do things right.
