Tell Me The Truth

Tell Me The Truth

Have you so little faith that you are afraid?
So little hope that you don't care?
Look at me, into my eyes
Tell me you have faith,That you have hope
Tell me you are not afraid,That you care
No,don't. I already know
I see the truth in your eyes
The fear plain as the autumn wind
Hopelessness loud as a lark's song
I'm tired of the lies
You said I could trust you
That you wouldn't lie
I don't care anymore
The last you'll see of me is when I walk out the door
I'm tired of the inhumanity,of the lies
You are a hopeless coward
I don't care anyore

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
