Success

Success

I live alone within myself,
asking always " What if, what if..."
First this thought, then another
turning them over, checking every aspect,
once, twice, then again, again.
Slowly, I drive myself crazy.
Fear of success is stronger than failure.
Who would I be if
I accomplished all that I dream of,
and my dreams were the best of everything?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
