smoke
I choke.
Blinded by the toxins I cannot see your face
But no one seems to care
Aged adults have been smoking since their teens
they can take it
I am but still a child
my lungs will not make it
Do not ask me to contribute, to your cancerous suicide
I refuse
Just because I am a child
Am I supposed to be obliged?
What I say is real, it comes from the heart.
I wish you could understand how I feel.
And you wonder why we are being torn apart
Parts of me that are supposed to be filled with love
are now filled with smoke
It is now my lungs
That are soaked
Why are you risking your life as well as mine?
It’s really not hard; just don’t smoke all the time.
