    Smile

Smile, do not let them see,

    the demons inside of me.

    Smile, keep a happy tone,

let them think the rage is gone.

    Smile, appear completely calm,

    keeping secret the ticking bomb.

Smile, do each and every chore,

    hiding the weeping sore.

Smile, give them what they want,

    while memories still haunt.

    Smile, at all the jokes,

    while my soul slowly chokes.

    Smile, give into there will,

    pray in time I'll heal.

It's a good poem. And, I agree with you because I think "smile" is the best gate to everything!

I can think of only one way to rid urself of the inner time bomb. I hve been there, try looking at self every morning in the mirror until you can c nside ur soul through ur own eyes, I'm curious at what u will c an write about.....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
