Silent Prayers
I silently pray to God
Don’t let the same happen again
For so lonely I felt when
My own people left me then
I silently pray to God
Don’t put me in pressure for I can’t bear anymore
Give my mind the wisdom to think
But don’t give the power to judge the lies for I can’t do anything
I silently pray to God
You see everything my Lord
Let there be a difference between good and bad, right and wrong
Show them where they belong and guide me, the path I should follow.
I silently pray to God
Show them that they were wrong
Pretence, hypocrisy and fraud
Memories of which I still hold
I silently pray to God
Show them where they belong
Fill their hearts with truth to be told
And erase all the ills they withhold.
Don’t let the same happen again
For so lonely I felt when
My own people left me then
I silently pray to God
Don’t put me in pressure for I can’t bear anymore
Give my mind the wisdom to think
But don’t give the power to judge the lies for I can’t do anything
I silently pray to God
You see everything my Lord
Let there be a difference between good and bad, right and wrong
Show them where they belong and guide me, the path I should follow.
I silently pray to God
Show them that they were wrong
Pretence, hypocrisy and fraud
Memories of which I still hold
I silently pray to God
Show them where they belong
Fill their hearts with truth to be told
And erase all the ills they withhold.
