Sensuous

Is it possible for love to smell?
Since it contains the power to make a heart swell.
Having a special magic in which to cast it's own spell.
And when spoken of, one fondly says, "I fell".

Do you wonder if love could possibly hear?
Or if in this creul world, would it care to lend an ear?
Will it attend to you heart when it's captured by fear?
Could it listen when joy causes your soul to cheer?

Given a set of eyes, what would love see?
The materialistic flesh or the spirit's silent plea?
What image would it conjure up as it looked at me?
If I have love and love is God, do we...  become a cord of three?

Suppose love could speak, what would it say?
Would it scream for attention or be reticent today?
Realizing few know it, like a handful continously pray.
Will if finally depart or vehemently fight to stay?

How should we figure that love would feel?
With so many faking the funk, coming low with the deal.
Aware it can be bought, sold and some would steal.
Love is disappointed knowing TRU LUV keeps it all real

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
