    Rudolph's new job!

     Santa fired Rudolph,
     for being a drunken slob;
     they crashed onto a mountain top,
     that's how he lost his job!

     toys scattered far and abroad,
     with Santa, reindeer & sleigh;
     Rudolph barfed like a twisted bugle,
     childrens' hopes were dashed away!

     together they found shelter,
     huddled as one in a cave;
     Santa called out to Rudolph...
     "i'm gonna kill you like a runaway slave!!"

     Christmas arrived and passed,
     they were rescued after a week;
     Santa was stiff as a popsicle,
     the poor fellow could barely speak!

     when they made it back to the 'Pole,
     Santa was fuming and hot;
     he called Rudolph to his office,
     and fired him on the spot!

     no one ever heard from Rudolph,
     things were quiet as a mouse;
     somewhere along the coastal shores,
     lives a red beacon on top of a lighthouse!

    Ha ha I'll never look at my childhood favorite "Rudolph, the Rednosed Reindeer" the same way again.

    Another well crafted funny write; you are so delightful and make me laugh and smile...now isn't that what art is suppose to do...entertain...that you are indeed! Peace, Love and Light

    Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
