    Romance

Looking dead into the eyes of your number one contender
You suddenly become a guardian, a protector, a defender
There are no others, the rest are all just pretenders
You are captivated by this moment, a moment to remember

Instead of silk sheets and rose petals in the bed
You give roses through silky sand with a kiss on the head
Lying peacefully under the stars, no words need be said
The ambiance is stuttering, let the moment embed

This silent conversation could last forever and a day
Let the earth save a spot and forever you lay
Then the sun, in its bright elegance, seems so gray
As it awakens reality and the moment fades away

Slowly she disappears as she is showered with light
Her touch is so close, but it feels so out of sight
You will never forget these moments of delight
So you store it away and wait for another night

very nice. I liked it a lot!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
