Reminiscing

Reminiscing

I sat up all night
just thinking of you;
of all that we've said
and of all we've been through
and I realized through tears
how much I still love you.
I know where you are
and there's no need for concern
So I'll just sit back and wait
for you to return
and I hope that for us,
this is a lesson learned.
Now you and I both
have a lot to remember;
one day at a time,
but we'll start with surrender.
I just pray that the Lord
be patient and tender.

Nice....Short and sweet, but powerful. :) Good poem.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
