Poem Commentary

What you see is not what I saw..

Remind Me...

Remind me of that old song you used to sing,
Oh how in my ears it still rings,
How im so reminded of all the beautiful things,
You and I have shared my love,
Here we are, atop of a tall hill,
lets race downward and enjoy the thrill,
Of the wind whipping at your faces,
Watch as both your and my heart paces,
As we both yell in merry delight,
And both scream out our heart's fright,
Lets hold hands and forever run,
As long as your hand hold's mine, my life knows nothing but fun,
Run forever with the even changing phases of the moon and sun,
Never stop, Never run out of energy, exhaust or drop
Let keep running until this world ends,
Until to the heaven our soul it sends,
And even then we begin our journey anew,
A bond like ours is shared by only so few,
so why let the love jst go to waste,
Babe, in this life its only a taste,
Of the amazement this world can bring,
but babe before we do remind me of that song you used to sing,
Cause even now in my ears, it begins to ring...
Remind me of that old song you used to sing,
Oh how in my ears it still rings,

It is a lovely poem of love and fantasy. I like the use of imagery and the tone of a soft lover's voice.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
