My Texas Star
All I am is a city slinger, and her heart in the country will always linger,
Slowly Ive come to realize I fell in love with the Texas star,
and forever ill love her no matter how far,
While she listens to country and strums the blues,
I'm here clubbing to booming speakers and different light hues,
While I sit here, spinning and playing tracks,
she picks her guitar of the shelf rack,
and she strums, while I hum,
To the strings mellow beat,
and even though she's country, she took my heart's only seat,
I may live in the worlds hottest city,
but I can forever pity,
that I'm not there admiring the song,
of a pretty girl who can't do me wrong,
This ones for you babe, you make my heart shine,
this is for you babe the girl whose only mine,
I may walk these city streets,
but they're so lonely compared to sleeping in you bed sheets,
see I can walk with a million people but only care bout one,
I may live with the hottest girls but in the city there is none,
that can ever steal my heart,
with a hook and rope you stole it away and dragged it to back to Houston,
But your a fool to think I wont chase after it and make my Texas star shine
