Remembering Christmas
The snowflakes are falling to form a blanket of white.
You know Santa is coming this Christmas eve night.
The tree's neatly wrapped, the lights are aglow.
does it mean as much now as along time ago?
Do you know how it started? The place it began?
A mother, a baby and a far away land.
The animals and a manger, a bed made of staw.
The world changed that night, not for one, but for all!
A star lit the heavens, led the way to the town.
Strangers started gathering, where the baby lay down.
The rich and the poor, the common and kings.
They honored the baby, with the gifts they would bring.
For Jesus was born, on that Christmas eve night.
In that town long ago, under the stars guiding light
So, now as we gather with our families and friends.
remember, it's not just about presents, we're honoring Him.
