Phread’s Profile

I am a performance poet and slam master, currently residing in Murray, UT. I have performed poetry all over Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Washington and Oregon, where I was part of the Irradiated Poets.

In SLC, UT, I am part of Salt City Indie Arts, an organization that promotes poetry and all the arts through a series of open-mics around the city in different venues, and via outreach to schools. I've been part of the poetry scene here for over 12 years as a performance poet, slam master and event organizer. Most recently, I emceed and performed at First Night in downtown SLC where we put together the Art Tent event from 6PM to 11:30 PM, alternating poetry and music all night long against a backdrop of visual arts.

I lived on a floating home on the Columbia River in Portland, OR, for two years and had a blast! Went to the ocean almost every weekend. Sure do miss it. I'll be moving back up there ASAP after I graduate from the University of Utah next May with my major in Mass Comm/PR. I just completed my minor in Creative Writing two weeks ago.

Well, must go now... As the Italians say: "The mother of idiots is always pregnant..." Whatever that means...
