Perfect World (I)

Grey mist
Rising from beneath
Enshrouding sacred footprints

Black skies
Cadaverous knights
Stealing white shadows and souls

Pink love
Purple hearts and sweet
Girl's smiles that break hearts for fun

Glass eyes
Crazy old men and
Skinny dogs with yellow teeth

Drowning
In the green-brown surf
Contemplating what life's worth

Chinese
Man in red jacket
Says "The beginning is near,

Take care.
D'ya know what I mean?"
And alas, sadly, I do

Light shines
Black and blue round marks
Skin burns in the atmosphere

Walk on
Slow, deliberate
Leaving footprints in the dust

Existential narrative with a cool Zen aura. The "beginning" is, indeed, near.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
