    Perfect Contradictions

She sees life as the doorway to freedom,
He sees freedom as the doorway to life,
    She knows he'll never understand,
He understands that she'll never know,
    His glass is full, overflowing,
Her glass is empty, leaking all hope,
He is glad she has her boundaries,
She wishes that she had his wings,
    He knows she won't go,
    She knows he can't stay,
    Perfect Contradictions,
    They both walk away.

This is really neat :) I like it very much. I can see it happening, even tho you didnt waste time on drawing up this beautiful image. It is indeed simple and it's something most human beings can relate to, I like the use of "he" and "she", it keeps it 'commercial' or 'faceless', so tht it fits in with everyone's life and not just a specific group of ppl. well done!

Very intriguing. If only people could recognize and respect others differences and not try to change them to fit their wishes. I really liked this

An excellent poem. I see what can happen when complacency in a relationship sets as well as selfishness. A great write.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
