    Pandora's Box

I sit here in my simple chair and into the box I stare.
Oh box of wisdom, box of might, box of knowledge and untold fright:
Show me the worlds that all others see.
Show me their faces that I might envy.
Show me the tome of all that is known,
So I need not think on my own.
Show me this world you've trapped yourselves in.
Given up magic and into sin?!
What of my world of laughter and light?
Countless days of warmth and sunlight.
What of the days when morals were law?
When values were held as sacred to all.
Why do these days make honor run thin?
When will they see the answer within?

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
