    Eyes of the Temple

Harmony's edge; the brink of balance,
Nearing the ledge of all allowance,
Fearing the dread of death's advance,
Hearing the pledge of life's own dance.
    Patterns perspective and matters reflective
    Shatter conceptive thoughts of collected.
Have faith within thine and not the divine,
Giving merit to mind and watch it combine
Logical thinking with the truth as it's sinking
    Metaphorical linking of zealotal finking.
Figments and fragments add up to a sum,
While pigments of pageants fit as though one.
Details of grandeur surrounding our world,
Minute as they shine like so many pearls.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
