    Pain 2

If my soul could tell a tale
Then might you require some ale
    To drown out the sorrow
So that you might make thru ‘til tomorrow

For you see the pain within
Is like the guilt of sin
    It weighs me down
Makes me feel like I’d rather drown

I want to tear it out
The pain that makes me pout
    You call me names
You point at me as if I am to blame

    You make me cry
No tears fall from your eyes
    You don’t know this pain
    I wish it would rain

    Rain on my soul
    And wash me whole
    Take this pain from me
Send it far over the sea

    None try to help
Instead you treat me like a whelp
    Someone make this pain cease
That I might live in peace
