Opaque
I see life through a glass hole.
Trapped beyond the confinements of gaiety
trapped within the mask I once eagerly put on.
Hypocrisy is a well-known acquaintance;
through their smiles, through their hugs. It doesn't matter whom.
She's in them all... like a goddess she enchants them.
Even those sweet natured are enticed by her misgivings,
but Infidelity is much worse.
She traps them with her sweet promises,
when they've fallen, she thrusts a razor sharp knife into their hearts;
slowly seeing the blood trickle down the knife, she smiles upon them.
Her mouth wide open; yet, no sound resonates off of the deep obsidian walls. Not being able to cope much longer with such pretense,
I let myself slip back into the comfortable presence of oblivion.
Trapped beyond the confinements of gaiety
