    ONCE IN A LIFETIME

once in a lifetime, true love comes along
you're happy in love, then all of a sudden it's gone
you try to figure out where everything went wrong
but all you know is you're left all alone

you try and try to get that love back
but satan keeps knocking you way off track
days go by, then months, then years
a lot of sleepless nights and countless tears
a lot of hoping and praying too...begging God to give
you're one true love back to you

life is hard, and times are tough, but being without you
    just makes things rough
like trying to sleep without you here, and all the little things that
    showed you cared

like a simple smile, or the touch of your hand
God how i want that feeling back again
my heart is broken, my smile is gone
cause i'm lost in this big ole world all alone

but one day soon, you'll come back to me
and things will be like they used to be
until then i'll keep holding on
to all the memories that are still growing strong
like when i was yours, and you were mine
how i wish i could go back in time
i know we can't go back, but we can start again
make things better than they were back then

God please answer this one prayer i pray
let my true love come back to stay
to have and to hold forever more
make our love stronger than it was before
give us your guidance, and never to stray
and please keep satan far far away
with a shield of protection from you my Lord
so we can grow together, never to part nomore
    amen

Very good stright forward with the heart true love should never depart

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
